We still have some but these are no longer being manufactured! This is the only VCR on earth that can play and record all 5 of the world video standards and will convert to/from all of them. No other VCR on earth can convert a video tape from one standard to the other. Because of how rare these units are, some may be used/refurbished as opposed to brand new. The Samsung SV-5000W multisystem VCR allows you to playback and record PAL, NTSC, PAL-N, PAL-M and SECAM video. PAL, NTSC, PAL-M, PAL-N and SECAM tapes will playback in full color on your NTSC or PAL or PAL-N or PAL-M or SECAM television. Or on any TV on earth of any kind, standard, system etc. as long as the TV is working. The Multisystem Samsung SV-5000W also includes broadcast tuners for every country in the world except French SECAM-L. However you can watch all SECAM sources in France such as DVD, VCR, CAMCORDER etc. as long as you send the SAMSUNG a video signal via the standard RCA cables. So not only can you watch video tapes from around the globe but you can also take this VCR with you overseas and watch and record television broadcasts. These features make the SV-5000W the most economical converting solution. However, for the very best conversion quality, we recommend Tenlab free-standing converters such as the TR-10SP, coupled with one of our multisystem VCRs, for the best quality in VHS conversions.
